I’m finally back again. It was hard on all of us when my mom passed away and we all needed some time. We are finally feeling a little more like doing things and I think I’m back to blog a little. My daughter, Megan, thought it would be good for me to get away with a few of the girls so she invited us to go to Bald Head Island with her a few weeks ago. It was such a nice get away and we all had such a good time and really relaxed.
Bethany and Tess rode bikes all over the island all day long. Sarah and I walked and walked. We went to the little shops and the market and Old Baldy. It was beautiful walking along the quiet roads, and so nice that there were no cars there – just golf carts. That makes walking a lot nicer. We all went to the ice cream shop and Mike’s Bites, and a lot of other little shops. Aria went bike riding with Megan and her kids a lot and we all went to the beach.
We spent several days at the beach – though it was really too cold to get in the water. That didn’t seem to stop Sarah who ran over and sat in the sand and the next thing we knew she was soaking wet. She didn’t mind one bit – she actally was laughing like crazy. She was having so much fun. She didn’t even care that it was so cold, but I did. I finally made her wrap up in a blanket and warm up some.
It was a very relaxing week and we got home in time for Easter Sunday, and not only had my good griend helped at my house while we were gone, but I came home to find that her husband had fixed my cabinet and put in a brand new thermostat for our upstairs heat pump. What good friends I have. Because of them I didn’t worry about a thing when I was gone.
I will probably put up more pictures from Bald Head again as I have many I want to have on my blog so we can look though our blog book one day and remember.
