Fairy Houses

We have fairy houses again. I have missed them. Aria decided she wanted to make some and she remembers how many Bethany used to make. So, we got some stuff and she and Madelyn spent the afternoon working on them. They seemed to really enjoy themselves and Aria could not wait for me to see them. She kept asking when was I going to take some pictures of them. I guess my kids are getting to be like me. They expect a picture to be taken.

They have a few solar lights out around them and in the evening they light up. They do look rather pretty.

Archie and Fishing

We had Archie, my youngest grandchild, on Friday and then again on Saturday. The girls, especially Aria, were excited for him to come. Aria asked constantly would he be here soon. Archie does love to play with her and she feels the same. It was the first time we kept him, and Anna said almost the first time he had stayed any length of time with anyone. He did really well and only cried when I put him in his car seat. He is such a good natured baby.

Bethany and Tess had been wanting to go fishing so as soon as Archie came I took both of them and Reagan to the pond and they fished several hours. Not one of them caught a single fish so it was a little disappointing for them. I felt kind of bad as they were so excited to go to a new place – the place they used to go was great, but suddenly “no trespassing” signs showed up and they couldn’t fish there anymore. So, a little disappointing but we did stop and order pizza and then sat outside and ate before we went home. It was a nice evening and I really enjoyed it. Archie loved the pizza and the geese that wandered around. They did start to get a little aggressive after I fed them some pizza – my mistake. Bethany ran them off since they would not leave us alone. It really was a lovely evening and on the way home I got the girls ice cream. Archie had his at the shopping center – salted caramel.

On Saturday we thought we would take a neighborhood walk. It has been so long since we did that. I feel kind of bad I have neglected our walks and visits to the river this summer. But, it was a nice walk and we got a little exercise in. It was a great weekend and I know it won’t be long till fall and then weekends be even better. I love fall.
