Spring Work

This weekend we tried to get some things done outside since it was so warm. W cleaned out our garden and then dug it up and added a little dirt and got it ready to plant. We planted two habanero peppers, two hot chili peppers, and two Thai hot peppers. Then we planted some strawberries and rosemary. We are not finished, but it is a start. We also cleaned around our blackberry bushes and got everything watered. We still have to decide what else we will be planting – possibly green beans or cucumbers and a few more herbs.

We also worked on the chicken house trying to get it finished and protected from predators. We have hammered stakes and garden fencing all around it about 14 inches into the ground to keep and animals from digging under the chicken run and getting in. We still have one side to finish. Liam and Evelyn came over yesterday and Liam helped hammer stakes with Bethany, Tess and me. We also tried to clean the yard some by picking up sticks, raking a little around plants and bushes and cleaning up junk that was left in the yard by so many kids playing everyday. It was work, but an enjoyable day and I felt good that we got some stuff done.

I was ready to blog and put up some pictures of our day last night when I realized my computer was acting strange and I could not do a thing on it. I called my son, Matthew, to see if he could give me an idea of what was wrong, but everything he told me to do did not work. Finally, he said he was coming over to see what was going on and 25 minutes later he was here. He stayed quite awhile and fixed everything – and it was a mess. But, in the end my computer and my Lightroom program is working again and I can now blog and load my pictures onto the computer. I was worried that my computer was going to end up worthless, but thank goodness it is back working. I am definitely thankful that my son knows so much about computers and was willing to help.
