Just Pictures

I planned on getting a picture of my son and his wife and kids at their house, as several people have asked me to post a picture — so they can see who they are praying for. But, recently he has felt so bad that I haven’t been able to get one — chemo and just finished his fourth week of radiation. It is finally getting to him. I will get one as soon as I can or hunt through my pictures for an old one. Please continue to pray for him.
We haven’t done much this summer, so not much to post about. But, I thought I would share a few pictures from the past week or so.

Clinical Trial – Phase II

Bethany had her last visit for the clinical trial on Monday — a 9 hour appointment. It wasn’t so bad and the time seemed to go fairly quickly considering how much had to be done. So, she finished up Phase I and then on Tuesday we went back to the hospital and she started Phase II. This time we know she is getting the real thing — no placebos. This part lasts for two years so we have a long road ahead of us. 
Bethany has to get a sweat test done just about every visit. This one was no exception.

She really doesn’t seem to mind the visits much and we spend time reading while she waits for all the different tests to be done. We finished the book we were reading on Tuesday. Now we have to decide on a new book.

Then our daughter, Megan, came into town with her new baby, Jack. Bella was a pro at feeding him and she loved doing it. Oh, and Sarah made that green pillow for Jack — with some help.

Thanks for your prayers for our son and his family. He is getting his radiation daily and his chemo, too. He is pretty tired and feels rather yucky, but not too sick. We are thankful he is doing as well as he is. He is trying to stay active and do a little something every single day, and has been able to do that with the exception of about 3 or 4 days. I will try to post a picture of him and his family next time as several people have asked. Please continue to remember us in your prayers.
