Again, it has been so long it is hard to get back to blogging. So, I will try again to stay with it. We have been busy with school, but not really doing much else. We are finishing the book Miracles On Maple Hill by Virginia Sorensen and we have thoroughly enjoyed it. Marly, Joe, Mother and Father move to Maple Hill to live in Grandma’s old house that is in the country. The first miracle of Maple Hill is when the sap begins to rise in the maple trees and it is time to make maple syrup. Marly loves this. She loves Maple Hill and she especially loves what it has done for her father who has returned home from the war angry and very tired. Maple Hill seems to bring him alive and to calm his spirit. That is the biggest miracle of all and the whole family is so thankful. This book shows us the beauty of nature and the power it has to heal hearts and minds. We have really enjoyed reading it and the kids love it. They ask first thing every morning if we can read it. We have one chapter left and we finish the book. It’s a great book.
Bethany has been working on a dress for one of her sisters and she is just about done. I love to watch her sew. I wish I had learned to sew when I was young, but I never did. I know it’s never too late, but it does seem a little late to start learning. So, I just enjoy watching my girls sew.

I really enjoy your blog and this is the first time I’ve commented. I wondered if you wouldn’t mind doing a post with everyone’s ages, names, what they enjoy, etc. I would love an update on everyone still at home with you. Secondly, the books you read sound so nice – wondered if you wouldn’t mind creating a list of the books your family loves best? I would love to try to find some for our family.
Thanks for hearing me out!
Lily
Thank you. I was asked once before about doing a book list and I truly meant to do it but never got around to it. I will definitely try to do it this time. I think I could start the list and maybe gradually add to it. I will try to get to it soon. I will start asking my kids their favorites and add mine, also. I will also try to get around to giving a little more information on the kids.
