The kids got to sing in the choir today and they were pretty excited about that. I think Evelyn probably enjoys it more than anyone. After choir we went over to the fellowship hall and practiced for our Christmas program. We still have a lot of work to do on it. Hopefully, things improve in the next couple of weeks. But, whatever happens the kids always have fun doing it and after it’s all over I’m glad we did, too.
After church we had pizza and ice cream and Shep had two pieces of pizza and he ate both of them. I was so surprised. I love that he comes to church most Sundays – I enjoy Abigail and Jonathan coming, too.
After church we went home and I had Evelyn and Liam, Jack, Penny, Oliver and Joshua over visiting. They played outside just about all afternoon with my kids. They pretty much only came inside for snacks. I do enjoy watching all of them playing outside running around having fun.
Evelyn says she’s going to help me decorate some next week or at least make some popcorn chains. We need those for our tree. I can use all the help I can get. Everyone kept saying we were starting so early, but now I fell like we will have a hard time getting everything done before Christmas – especially since I have so much shopping to do. I guess what does not get done will not matter. What I really want is just a peaceful Christmas with my family enjoying time together and doing a few things.
