MRI Results

Joey and Shannon got the results of Joey’s MRI yesterday. I always worry the day of the results. I don’t like waiting for answers and the longer I wait the more nervous I get. So, the doctor told them that the tumor is stable. No growth and no shrinkage. I was happy with that even though I always hope it will shrink. He also said the shadow they saw last time has not changed and he is thinking it is probably not new tumor growth. That was wonderful news. They will continue to watch it, but he seems to think it is probably due to chemo toxins.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers. This was an answer to prayers and we all feel so much better. We are not sure yet if he will have to continue to have an MRI every month now or go back to his schedule of every two months. They will find out after the tumor board meets tomorrow.

Piper had a bike accident as I was taking pictures — doesn’t look too happy. But, she was over it in about 2 minutes.

Forgot One

When I was posting last night I forgot one of the books we read. It is Katie Kittenheart by Miriam Mason. This book was first published in 1957. I saw it mentioned somewhere online and thought it sounded like something we might like so I found an old copy and ordered it. I didn’t see any place to order a new one so it is probably out of print. This book was simple and sweet. Katie always seemed to find herself helping someone — from a neighbor with five young children to a class of stranded children. This was not a real exciting book with lots going on, but it was a nice simple read and we enjoyed it very much.
