Today I was pretty busy finishing things for Christmas and then Bethany and I ran some errands for my mom and then helped her get some of her Christmas stuff done. So, I really didn’t spend much time thinking about what we could do as a special thing. So, I took the easy way out again and let the kids watch another Christmas movie and they obviously enjoyed that. They watched The Star – one they had never seen before. I just didn’t have anything imaginative in me today. Hopefully, I will perk up a little tomorrow. I do have to remember that when we started this the whole purpose was to only do something very small each day. It was never meant to be stressful. So, a movie it was today.
We also had a visit from Abigail and baby Shep today and the kids crowd around him like he’s some kind of a star. They love him and he especially likes Sarah. He always smiles when he sees her. He played and tried to pull ornaments off the tree and open presents. He was adorable. It was a busy, but nice day.
I can’t believe how quickly these countdown days are going. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about
them, as I do every year. The gingerbread houses turned out really nice! Tess’ looks like something out of a magazine. Shep is adorable. I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas. Thank you for sharing your family with us. These are the values that I wish every child had the chance to grow up with!
Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, too.
