The Twenty-Four Days Before Christmas – Day 20

Today our special thing was really easy. I went out and bought two boxes of Russell Stover candy and all the girls had several pieces. Simple, but enjoyable. Even small things can be nice.

We also read, and I bought a few things for Christmas. Bethany had play practice at church and I think she has one more practice before Christmas Eve. I think we are pretty much done with everything except maybe 10 more gifts to wrap. All the kids are finished shopping and I’m just waiting for the rest of mine to arrive in the mail.

The Twenty-Four Days Before Christmas Day – 19

Today our special thing was to give the girls their Christmas pjs. Everyone got new pajamas and then they kept them on for the rest of the day – kind of a pajama day – and then we read for awhile, and after that they watched a Christmas movie. It was a slow and lazy day. Several girls are missing from the picture – Jordan is at my mom’s, and Sophia and Claire were in their rooms recovering from a virus. So, they missed this years picture. I think we are at the end of the sickness now – thank goodness. Oh, and the nightgowns were not that short. For some reason Sarah and Caroline had theirs pulled way up and they do not look very warm or cozy that way.
