Sherbet

I think the beautiful colors of sherbet are just so summery. I think of summer whenever it is mentioned. Maybe because my grandmother would buy it when I was there for the summer and we would sit outside on summer evenings and eat it. My kids love it, I think, just because of the colors. We bought it for the first time this summer and it was enjoyed by everyone – except Sarah. She almost never eats any ice cream that is not chocolate or vanilla. No convincing her it is good. 

I think we are going to try to make homemade ice cream this next week. I keep saying it, but haven’t gotten around to actually doing it. It is always fun to make it yourself and the kids love to watch and wait for it.
