The Twenty-Four Days Before Christmas – Day 4

Today our special thing was that I gave out the new Christmas puzzle. I give the kids a new Christmas puzzle most years and most of them enjoy working on it. This year I got them a 1000 piece puzzle instead of the 500 which I usually buy. They also watched a Christmas show with some popcorn. I spent most of my time wrapping Christmas gifts as I could hardly get around in my room for all the boxes and bags of stuff. It is a little better now that I have gone through most of the boxes and wrapped the majority of the stuff. It was a nice Sunday.

The Twenty-Four Days Before Christmas – Day 3

Our special thing for today was to make fudge, Rice Krispies Treats and do some decorating. We actually got a few things done – the garland in both halls and our garland on the mantle with lights – still need to get some candles. We picked up and then set out a few small things and it is starting to look a little more like Christmas here. Unfortunately, we did not get our library tree inside and in the stand. Maybe tomorrow. We also did a little Christmas reading which everyone enjoys. It was a nice day.

Also, I wanted to mention that this morning we got a delivery from a friend. It was all kinds of snacks and treats and the kids were so thrilled. I told my friend when I called her to thank her that you would think that my kids never ate the way they acted. They will be enjoying all the snack for quite awhile.
