It’s been a long time since I updated how my son, Joey, is doing on here. He had an MRI this week and got the results several days later. It was good news – stable. Stable – such a wonderful thing to hear. It makes me so happy. It has been a long road, but he is still doing well and that is what I pray for all the time. Next MRI is in 6 months.
I am reading Snowbound With Betsy by Carolyn Haywood to Aria. We finished the other Betsy book. I am reading a lot of the Betsy books to her as she has never had them read to her. We have read them so many times they seem like old friends. Some of the kids will still listen a little, but they have all heard the books so many times. I want Aria to be able to experience all the books that my others got to hear through the years. She loves me to read to her and for now I will probably be reading separate books to her for several reasons – my kids have heard most of them and she has a harder time listening to the books I read to the other kids. She has not been read to very often and still has a little trouble with language skills so I try to keep the books simple and fun. I must be choosing the right books as she literally begs me to read to her several times a day.
I had a visitor today – Georgia. Actually, her brother, Asher, came, too. He was busy making some Plaster of Paris thing while Georgia would bascially hardly leave my side. So, we read and read. Then I asked her if I could take a few pictures of her and she said yes and was pretty cooperative – though she insisted she get to take a few also. So, she posed for me a few times and I let her take a few pictures – mostly of the floor. I have been doing a photo challenge with a friend since the first of January – everyday we send each other a picture. So, I figured Georgia could help me out with my picture today and she did. It’s amazing how many times I almost forget to get that one picture and then its 8:30 and dark and I have no idea what to get a picture of. As much as I love photography, I realized that I really don’t pick up my camera as much as I thought I did.
So happy to hear the great MRI results for Joey. I continue to pray for his complete healing every night. I’m glad he is doing so well.
I grew up with the Betsy books and they were always a favorite of mine!
Georgia is beautiful 🙂
I am always so happy after good results and then I know I will feel pretty good for 6 months till the next one. Thank you for remembering him.
