Today our special thing was a little different. Bethany and Tess really wanted to go skating at the outdoor ice skating rink at a nearby shopping center, but some of the kids were not that interested and some like, Aria, have a lot of trouble on the ice. So, the ones that really wanted to go went with me to ice skate and the others stayed home and watched another movie. I know – it is their third movie and we don’t usually do that. But, it worked out really nice. I took Bethany, Tess, Caroline and Sarah. My daughter, Meredith, dropped off Reagan so she could go and I picked up Evelyn and Liam and Joey and Shannon met us with Joshua and Madelyn. They had so much fun skating and it really was a nice day for it, though by the time we left I was very cold.
After skating we went to the mall and everyone ate. Most of the kids got Chinese and then ice cream. It was a nice evening and Bethany and Tess were so happy they got to go to the rink this year. Last year we planned on going, but somehow ,it never worked out. The little rink is only here for about one month every Christmas season. It was a great evening and everyone had fun.
