The Twenty-Four Days Before Christmas – Day 14

Today our special thing was the girls got to choose Christmas socks and gloves. They especially liked the socks and there were all kinds – snowmen, gingerbread boys, bells, etc. Lots to choose from and they all found some they liked. Sarah said she is saving hers for Christmas Eve.

We did a lot of wrapping and sorting gifts again today and I think we are making good progress. I got around 7 gifts in the mail this afternoon and I wrapped them immediately. Bethany and Tess realized they each had one gift left to wrap and they did theirs and even helped me some. It was a very quiet and peaceful day.

The Twenty-Four Days Before Christmas Day – 13

Today our special thing was to get Pizza Hut pizza and bread sticks and watch old family videos. We watched Christmas – 2007 and Christmas – 2019. Most of the kids were not even in the 2007 video, but still enjoyed watching it. We love the old Christmas dvds we made. This year our video camera isn’t working so we won’t have any video and that makes me a little sad. But, we will have lots of pictures.

We also wrapped a ton of gifts and put bows on about 35 or more gifts. We can finally start getting them under the tree. I feel I am making a little progress and so are most of the girls. Bethany and Tess finished their shopping today and Bethany finished wrapping her gifts. Now only Caroline and Aria have shopping to do – of course, I do but that doesn’t count. We are making progress. It was a pleasant day with most of the day at home wrapping and listening to Christmas music.
